Never before has the world experienced the kind of challenges brought about by the global covid-19 pandemic.
There is not a single individual that has not felt the effects of this pandemic. however the sad truth is that those that were struggling to get by pre-covid find themselves in a far worse situation because of the effects of the pandemic.
A lot of organisations have stepped in the gap to ease the burden of the struggles faced by the less privileged in our society. One such organisation is Intsika Yethu, an npo registered with the department of social development.
Established in 2012 and based in Soshanguve, its mandate is to provide assistance to the disadvantaged and physically challenged. The organisation is also involved in the distribution of food parcels and facilitation of skills transfer.
The work they do is not without its challenges. sponsorship and funding would really give the organisation a much-needed boost.
The organisation is calling on members of the community private organisations and government to assist in any way they can.
The most pressing of their needs include food items, clothes, school shoes, Office Furniture, learning material, old computers and gadgets.
